Software development is stuck in the past. In the beginning, using software was a text-based experience. Lines of code were written to make that software, matching the modality of how it was used. But the world has evolved; software is no longer just a text-based experience. It's visual, intuitive, and interactive. Yet, the process of creating software remains tethered to its textual past.We live in a digital economy. Want to start a business? You probably need software. But learning to create software is a laborious, expensive, and time-consuming process, often requiring months, if not years, of learning before one can even begin to construct something usable for the web. It's lunacy. And, it’s making software 10x more expensive and time-consuming than it needs to be.The recent AI hype has renewed fervor for making software creation more accessible. But AI is still just writing code. It doesn’t solve the underlying problem.
It’s time we DEVIZE a new way of building. Where the barriers of entry are not years of coding experience, but the limits of one's imagination. Where the tools we use are as dynamic and visual as the software it produces. And no, I’m not just talking about websites.
The time has come to liberate all software development from the shackles of the past.More soon.
